Students triumph in international design competition

March 3, 2013

A team of students from Plymouth University have won a clutch of awards following an international design competition in China.

A group from the School of Architecture, Design and Environment travelled to Guangzhou where they went up against 15 other universities – nine from the UK and six from China – in a British Council organised project.
The aim of the competition was for the students to spend two weeks creating designs for the ‘upcycling’ of Chinese industrial leftovers. The Plymouth team came away with three-quarters of the total awards, including the individual award for the best student design and the most outstanding group project.
